Certified Flight Instructor – Airplane (CFI-A)
Recent changes by the FAA now allow initial CFI applicants to conduct training and practical tests in fixed gear aircraft. Our Cessna 172 fleet is perfect for making new flight instructors!
Our FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-A) course is a 25-flight hour course focused on making you an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. Our instructors focus on “making teachers”, guiding the CFI candidate towards becoming a professional aviation educator. CFI candidates will practice teaching Airmen Certification Standard (ACS) knowledge subject areas in the classroom environment and in the aircraft with specially trained, highly experienced flight instructors. Our highly organized CFI course is specially tailored to make you the best flight instructor you can be!
The course includes:
- King Schools “Cleared for Flight Instruction” Online Course
- 25 Hours Dual Flight Instruction in Cessna 172
- Knowledge Test Fees (FOI & CFI Airplane)
- 40 Hours Ground with a CFI
- 2 Hour Practical Test and Examiner Fee
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft.

Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII)
Our FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFI-I) course is a 8-flight hour course focused on making you an instrument pilot instructor.
The course includes:
● 8 Hours Dual Flight Instruction in a Cessna 172
● 6 Hours of Ground with CFII
● 2 Hour Practical Test and Examiner Fee
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft.
Total Cost: $4,280.00*
Certified Flight Instructor – Multi-Engine (MEI)
Our FAA Certified Multi-Engine Flight Instructor (MEI) course is a 6-flight hour course focused on making you a multi-engine pilot instructor.
The course includes:
● 6 Hours Dual Flight Instruction in our Tecnam P2006T
● 3 Hours of Ground with MEI
● 1.5 Hour Practical Test and Examiner Fee
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of complex aircraft.
Total Cost: $4,642.50*
*CFI-I and MEI are available only as an add-on to the Certified Flight Instructor initial rating. Home study courses available to decrease training costs by eliminating the ground school portion of the training course. The average student typically requires additional hours above the FAA minimums billed at the posted hourly rate. Additional costs may be incurred, including but not limited to, training supplies, charts, and re-test fees.
