Melbourne Flight Training’s Commercial Pilot courses range from learning to fly Single-Engine aircraft or Multi-Engine aircraft. All of our flight training courses utilize the King Online syllabus and ground training program which is good for life!
Single-Commercial (CSEL Initial)
Our FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) course is a 26.3-flight hour course to make you a fully certified FAA Commercial Pilot. The course includes:
- 11.9 Hours Flight Training in our Cirrus SR20 TAA Trainer
- 14.4 Hours Flight Training in a Cessna 172
- 5 Hours Night Solo Flight in Cessna 172
- 9 Hours of Ground with a CFI
- King Commercial Pilot Kit – “Cleared for Hire” Online Ground School
- Knowledge Test Fee
- 2 Hour Practical Test and Designated Pilot Examiner Fee
Total Cost: $10,854.00*
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of Garmin and Avidyne Equipped Cessna and Cirrus training aircraft.
*This course does not include flight time building required to reach the required 250 hours to become eligible the Commercial Pilot certificate. Some students require additional hours above the FAA minimums billed at the posted hourly rate. Additional costs may be incurred, including but not limited to, training supplies, charts, and re-test fees.
Multi-Commercial (CMEL Initial)
Our FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) course is a 25-flight hour course to make you a fully certified FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot. The course includes:
- 25 Hours Flight Training in a Tecnam P2006T
- 8 Hours of Ground with an MEI
- King Commercial Pilot Kit – “Cleared for Hire & Cleared for Multi-Engines” Ground School Course
- Knowledge Test Fee
- 2 Hour Practical Test and Designated Pilot Examiner Fee
Total Cost: $13,985.48*
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of Garmin Equipped Tecnam P2006T trainer aircraft.

Our FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) single-engine add-on course is an 8-flight hour course, making you a fully certified FAA Commercial Single-Engine Pilot. The course includes:
- 8 Hours Flight Training in a Cessna 172
- 2.5 Hours of Ground with CFI
- 2 Hour Practical Test and DPE Fee
Total Cost: $2,985.00*
All training is performed one-on-one with your FAA authorized instructor in our fleet of Garmin Equipped Cessna 172 trainer aircraft.
*Commercial Single-Engine Rating available as an add-on to a multi engine commercial certificate. Home study courses available to decrease training costs by eliminating the ground school portion of the training course. Some students require additional hours above the FAA minimums billed at the posted hourly rate. Additional costs may be incurred, including but not limited to, training supplies, charts, and re-test fees.
Multi Commercial Add-On
Our Flat Rate FAA Commercial Pilot (CPL) multi-engine add-on course is an accelerated 5 lesson course, making you a fully certified FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot. The course includes:
● 5 Dual Flight Lessons in Tecnam P2006T
● 5 Pre/Post Flight Briefings with an MEI
● 2 Hour Practical Test
Total Cost: $4,995.00*
