Meet The Fallons: Family-owned And Operated Since 2016
Derek and Kristina Fallon started Melbourne Flight Training in 2016 as a pilot training and plane rental business. One year later, in 2017, they added Cirrus and Beechcraft multi-engine trainer aircraft to their fleet. However, this is nowhere near the beginning of the Fallon’s professional aviation stories:
Derek performed flight training for 22 years as a professional flight instructor before becoming an airline pilot for two airlines, flying a Boeing 727. Also, on a 727, he flew international cargo and for NASA.
After serving five years as a military contract pilot, Derek piloted for Zero-G from 2015-2018 and for Embraer Executive Jets from 2018-2021.
In 2012, Kristina launched the Fallon Pilot Shop, selling pilot and cockpit supplies and accessories online and, growing ever more popular, moved to a more prominent location on Apollo Blvd. in 2014.
Heck Air (another piece of Fallon Ventures) is located in the Fallon Pilot Shop near Melbourne Flight Training on General Aviation Dr. and offers plane inspections and aircraft maintenance.
